The Art + Agroecology project: AgroArt is a live/work residency that seeks to host creative practices of socio-ecological intervention to galvanize the unique right-to-land practices: material, cultural and spiritual of people of the African diaspora.

Located on a 27 acre organic farm in Kansas City, MO, artists are immersed in a community-focused Black agrarian production model, and provided resources to creatively investigate and address community food insecurity and promote food sovereignty. AgroArt culminates in a free book publication providing meditations on historical land injustices and celebrating the future Black imagination.
