Sweet Potato Pies, Purple Hull Pea Hummus, Kale Cherry Salad, Corn Bread….mmm!

Our semi-mobile commercial, communal, culinary lab and cold prep, field kitchen is an exciting new project for 2021. This is a shared-use, commercially-licensed space for chefs, bakers, caterers, food trucks, and other culinary professionals as well as for mutual aide food distribution networks. We have already acquired most commercial kitchen equipment needed to start frontline food production and secured grant funding for youth programming. We are raising funds to transform a shipping container into a certified kitchen for small food business startups and community use.

This would include installing plumbing, electrical, sinks and stoves to complete our project to expand food sovereignty and community production in KCMO
